Yes, and written several Mass Effect Fan Fictions, because I'm a huge nerd and I love Femshep to death. She was the first female protagonist I ever played as in a game, and I fell in love with the way Hale voiced her.

The ending wasn't as bad with extended cut but I still prefer indoctrination theory.

It wasn't bad...

I liked it with a few reservations.

The following is fairly general criticism with no significant spoilers.

The good parts were the squad additions, especially Aria, and the character building they did on her. I liked that there were a lot of morality choices and I was happy to see a batarian I didn't hate for once (and a female turian, my goodness, there is a shocking lack of female aliens in this franchise).



The Bad: while the characters were good, in some ways the story didn't seem quite as well thought out as I expected. I wanted to go back to Omega after the game ended. Also, why was Garrus not involved? He was archangel! But then, my love for Garrus is a well known fact, because he is awesome. No Shepard without Vakarian, indeed.

What do you think of the multiplayer?

I don't have Xbox gold so I haven't played on it much.

I'm not a big multi player fan anyways. Don't hurt me...it's mainly do to extreme introversion and the scary, scary men who hang out on live. I've heard enough stories.

I don't want to post the link here, because the content is extremely offensive and mostly mysoginistic but a blog called Fat, Ugly, or Slutty details the treat,ent of women over Xbox multiplayer. It's a big problem. I don't like it, so I don't play.

I will see if I can get a trial to test out multiplayer though.

Spoilers.

I chose destroy. And honestly, I was quite happy with the ending, though I only played it after the extended endings came out. So I don't know what it was like before, but I really liked the destroy ending.

yeah, I played it with the original ending, and that comic was pretty much what happened. (Maybe a bit of exaggeration, but seriously, I was invested!) we had this whole party to celebrate seeing the ending and were all sitting around and there was no epilogue or anything...it was more than anti-climatic.

Control freaked me out. I don't think anyone could go through that and be the same. How do I know Shepard wouldn't go crazy and try to sped story the galaxy in a few million years?

Synthesis seemed like a violation of free will.

Destroy made sense. Kill the reapers and if there are a few casualties, like the Geth and EDI, those are acceptable to save all other sapient life.

BTW: how angry would Javik be if you chose synthesis? Poor guy would be part Reaper, the guys who wiped out his race.

Control, and synthesize both seemed like "Indoctrination" to me-- like that's what the Reapers wanted. Weren't we supposed to fight the Reapers? lol. Seemed like the whole game was building toward destroying them once, and for all. So that ending seemed to make more sense, and of course it's only bonus that Shepherd actually gets to live in that ending.

I played back through the entire trilogy a little over a month ago when they finally released ME1 on the PSN. I think that taken as a whole, the trilogy is one of the best franchises to come out of this generation of consoles.

I chose Destroy my first time through (having just played ME2 and ME3), and got the ending where Shep survives. However, my second time through, with an ME1 import, I chose the synthesis ending. The choice itself seemed like indoctrination to me, but the results seemed much more pleasant and like a happy ending, at least in my opinion.

Just glad I finally got to experience the first chapter of the trilogy.
