Ring out the old year, ring in the new

So....every year I pick songs. One represents the old year, one the new. I've always kind of framed my life with music and listening to a song will usually bring to mind very specific events or feelings.

So this year my 2013 song is Tomorrow Will Be Kinder by the Secret Sisters

My entire life has literally been blown to shreds, put back together and then blown to shreds again. I like this song because it reflects the sorrow of losing it all, but also has a quiet kind of hope.

And my 2014 song is Let It Go from Frozen.

This year I anticipate some big events: a cross country move, coming out to my parents and extended family, and many other things that still seem mildly terrifying. In the end I have to echo Elsa's heartfelt song which every one should listen to right now.

Yes, we are partway through February, but I must say what I've thought since I first read this thread:
Every New Year's Day, I get a song by U2 stuck in my head... New Year's Day
"Nothing changes on New Year's Day...."
While it isn't completely true, the line always, always gets stuck in my head, with a vengeance.
