Battle Royale

I watched this on Netflix last night. It reminds me of a more mature. bloodier Hunger Games. All together I thought it was really interesting. The satire of the education system and the themes of youth/adult tension seemed a bit overblown in my opinion. Perhaps it's my lack of direct experience with Japanese culture that leads to my less informed opinion. Either way, I highly recommend the film.

A Cinderella Story starring Hillary Duff.

The Dark Knight.

Seen it dozens of times. Still one of my all-time favorites.

Lincoln

I went to see this last night. Sad to say, I was disappointed with this film. After all the good I'd heard about it, I was expecting something more. So many people were talking about how great Daniel Day-Lewis' performance was, yet I found it to be little more than serviceable. Personally, I thought Tommy Lee Jones put on a much better performance. He stole just about every scene he was in.

Not as good as the first, but snap can Liam Neeson carry an action movie.
