I am reminiscing about my childhood and watching Ever After.

My mother didn't allow Disney Prkoncess movies in the house so Danielle was the closest thing I had to a princess figure.

I could have done a whole lot worse. Actually I plan to continue the ban on Disney Princesses if I have girls.

Princess Leia doesn't seem to display quite the same level of...pepto bismal pink.

As a long time Star Wars fan that might make me sad enough to sit in and watch episodes 4-6 (the only new I acknowledge) over and over again if she were marketed that way.

Of course as a child my favorite game was Barbie War. Between my horse collection and the Barrie's my relatives gave me I had a rather impressive Calvary line. Then there was Malibu Barbie the spy who occasionally was kidnapped and tortured by the enemy to give up secrets.

I was a peculiar child.
