Payday 2. Robbing banks has never been this much fun. Thoughts so far, in no particular order: Easily the most social game I've ever played. Communication is mandatory if survival is your end goal. It's been a day and a half, and I've already added over half a dozen people to my friends list. The skill tree is a little bit wonky to get used to, but once I figured it out, it's been incredibly easy to drop points into any of the four classes to obtain certain perks whilst still focusing on a particular skillset. The end-mission random loot cards are a mix of infuriation and disappointment, combined with two parts each of glee and envy. Overall, the game is incredibly simple; there are a half-dozen or so different game modes/mission styles from which you and your crew can choose from to try your luck. What circumvents the monotony of the grind (for me anyways) is the fact that no two missions play out the same. One time my crew robbed a jewelry store and had the getaway van loaded up and were just leaving right as the cops arrived. Every time since has been a bloody, vicious firefight that leaves us with no guarantee of success.
Overall, easily one of the most entertaining multiplayer games I've ever played.
