I've gotten bored of mainstream music that talks about sex, partying, and break-ups. I want to expand my music tastes where I've never gone before, songs, and genres that break away from the typical norm of what I've just mentioned. I want my music to make me feel something, does anyone have some suggestions? I'm looking for mainly good vocalists and instrumental genres.

I'm listening to the ridiculously blustery winds that are outside. A friend who lives on the other side of the island said the waves were coming up over the sea wall that's in view of her house, and that it sounded like a jet was trying to land on her house. That's pretty tall waves... stirred up by the wind... and pretty loud wind... It kept waking me up this morning.
