By no means do I have all the terminology and whatnot of this game stored up in my mind, but I did break out the chess set earlier to play a game against myself. No one won –– it was one of those "KILL ALL THE PIECES!" games... and there was no way to bring about a checkmate for either side.

I like chess, but I haven't ever played by myself.

I haven't played chess in ages I remember the first time I played my Dad I won because of a pawn.
I haven't beaten him since.

That was the last time I did not pay attention because I was playing a tadpole.

DH, I feel your pain. Trust me, it will pass. One of these days, you will beat him at chess. Just keep trying... I know, because my dad used to win at Scrabble nearly every single game. It wasn't until a few years ago that I started beating him at Scrabble...

Chess is a fantastic... I have a hard time calling it a game, because the skills you learn are so useful. I love Chess. I'm terrible, but I love it anyway.

A friend of mine has a really nice chess set that his grandmother bought him.

I love chess! My brother and I play sometimes. He's better than me, but sometimes I whip out some secret skills and win.

I don't believe I have ever played myself...I'd probably be bored and not even get to the "Kill all the Pieces!" point, Gwen!

I once set my computer's difficulty all the way up, and played against it... I stalemated it...
