The only thing Gaiman that I've read is "What Ever Happened To The Batman?" comic book.

Seriously?
He wrote American Gods (my favorite book, ever), Anansi Boys, Stardust, Coraline, The Graveyard Book, and Neverwhere along with co-authoring Gpod Omens with Terry Pratchett. His books are generally fantasy with dark themes. He hasn't come out with a novel since '05 so this is huge news. I highly reccomend anything he's written.

He's also written for tv shows like DR Who. I know who he is, and that he's very talented. His most successful work though, is Sandman.

Yeah, he was responsible for The Doctors Wife and he has another one coming up in part two of season 7 (or whatever we're on now...). I have read tiny, tiny bits of Sandman but it didn't really interest me in the way American Gods or his novels did. But then, I haven't really read much in the way of graphic novels since I was a teenager. Nothing against them, but they don't particularly interest me.

I've read Good Omens...
and I definitely watched The Doctor's Wife (how could I not?).
But I don't know enough about Neil's individual flavour as a writer to distinguish his work from the rest. However...
When I saw the Doctor Who episode, Dinosaurs in Space, I wondered if he'd had a hand in it, because... the robots were hysterically funny, in a way that made me almost wonder if Douglas Adams had come back from the dead to write them. lol. Since I know that's not possible...

He was not involved in Dinosaurs in Space, but he will be involved with an episode later this year.
I can not tell you how highly I reccomend anything he's written.
