Did I forget to mention Douglas Adams? I've read the Hitchhiker series, as well as the Dirk Gentley books and The Meaning of Liff.
One of my favourite parts of the Dirk Gentley books is when someone has a horse in their bathroom... or when someone causes a room full of computers to make fart noises. *snickers* Why yes, I do love absurdist humor...
