There was much more than killing going on in those camps. There was truly stomach-wrenching stuff going on –– a lot of it in the name of "science." I will spare you the details.
I've been to the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC . The permanent exhibit is not for the faint of heart, but I have no regrets about going. It's not a particularly pretty part of history, but it is one of those things that, if we do not remember and learn from it, it can very, very easily be repeated. It was genocide at its worst, but it started very subtly.
