I think Brosnan had the best mix for Bond. He could pull off the serious, but he brought that silliness as well. Bond should be the ultimate spy. The new films made him the ultimate killer, and not much else.

Watched Blast From The Past starring Brendan Fraser, Christopher Walken, Sissy Spacek, and Alicia Silverstone. If you have not seen this movie, you need to see this movie. My family, and I have watched it dozens of times over the years.

Safety Not Guaranteed

This was a fun little movie. I was a little disappointed that Aubrey Plaza basically played the same character she portrays in Parks and Rec. it would be nice to see her step out of the that typecast. Over all the film was pretty good. It's nothing spectacular, but as far as quirky romance films go, you could do a lot worse. The ending was especially charming.

Beasts of the Southern Wild

I'm not really sure where to begin describing this film. The mix of fantasy elements with the story told from the point of view of a child makes for a wonderful experience. In particular, seeing Wink's relationship with Hushpuppy from her point of view is amazingly well done. When Wink goes into a drunken rage the experience is horrifying, when he's taking care of hushpuppy and his love is shining through it's heartwarming, and the contrast is, in itself, gut wrenching. In all, I absolutely loved this film. It was definitely worthy of all the Academy nominations it received, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
