Agreed! Renner was good in both movies, and I loved the way he kept pointing out those things.

I love the part in MI where Ethan is repelling down the building with the fire hose, comes up short, and Renner's like, "It's too short, Ethan!"... Classic!

Right, you hang a lantern on it. Like in Star Trek where the crew gets the surprise beam up at the last minute, and one of the crew members is like, "well that was convenient."

Just watched Black Moon Rising, starring Tommy Lee Jones, and Linda Hamilton.

Mildly entertaining. The best part was making fun of how horrible eighties technology was in movies, and all the cheesy action sequences.

We did a fair amount of fast-forwarding for other things too.

Warrior, with Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton, and Nick Nolte. Definitely one of the best fighting movies I've ever seen.

The Hobbit

I have to say, I think I may have been a little too harsh on this movie the first time I saw it. I think it definitely benefits from being seen in 24 fps and not in 3D. I still had a hard time understanding anything Gollum said in that echo-prone cave though.

Iron Man 3.

Tony Stark remains my favourite movie superhero based on the fact that his movies are the only ones where the protagonist undergoes serious character growth. Beyond that...I'm still trying to find pieces of my brain after the movie exploded it.
